It's just after midday on this rather dreich and drizzly January morning but I'm already adding a date in my diary for October. I have been asked if I would be interested in giving a talk at a local Gardening Club on garden design and I am delighted to accept. A lovely chance to talk gardens/plants/landscaping with likeminded enthusiasts Plenty of time in the meantime to photograph some of the gardens I've created over the last few years, as they mature and show their seasonal interest throughout the year.
I will also show some of my plans and concept drawings. Much of drawing style I use I can attribute to a garden designer and illustrator in the USA who's blog and website I've been following for a while. www.lisaorgler.com She has a wonderful illustrative style. A lovely surprise to see her mention my blog this morning as one of the 'gems' she has discovered, so thank you Lisa!
I mentioned the birds feeding on the perennials in my last post and here is an example of the Achillea they love to perch on and nibble at. Unfortunately I can't capture the birds close up yet! I'm working on the zoom lens!
