...." Planting design offers aesthetic delights as complex and intense as those found in galleries or exhibitions. Its aesthetic impact can be thought-provoking, soothing, exciting and so on - according to the intentions of the designer and the state of his or her soul.
In the realm of the senses, the sights, scents and sensations of plants, even the sound made by the wind and rain in leaves and branches - all these add to the quality of daily life.
Such aesthetic quality is often hard to quantify, but its effect on well-being can be profound."

Laura Antebi will be exhibiting her wonderful wire creations at RHS Chelsea this year. She specialises in horses but creates other creatures such as birds, amphibians and can even replicate a client's dog. I had a rare opportunity to visit her studio as she is by appointment only. The sculptures are quite special and very long lasting. I can testify to that personally as a client of mine still has one in her garden, installed 10 or so years ago. I am hoping to incorporate her work into one of my designs... what will it be I wonder! You can see her work on her website here
